Happy Thanksgiving

I have much to be thankful for this year. Salvation, family that truly loves each other, a wonderful boyfriend, a funny (sometimes naughty) dog, God's protection and provision during the events of this year, a job, a place to live, food, and the list could go on and on.

Thanksgiving day started off with the Turkey Trot. I have never participated in the event, but the Turkey Trot is a tradition for Will's family. We did the one mile walk. It was a little overwhelming with the amount of people, but we had a great time walking and talking together.

After that was over, I went back home and went back to sleep. Then, I prepared the pumpkin bars that were requested by Will's parents.

Will's parents hosted Thanksgiving this year. My parents came up for the meal and we all had a great time. I missed the rest of my family, but am thankful that I got to spend the day with my parents, Will, and his family!

The weekend before Thanksgiving Will and I went down to my parents house and stayed with them for a few days. We managed to squeeze in a few more activities than we normally do. Ok, the truth is every time we have been at their house, neither one of us have been up to doing much. So, we pretty much collapse and sleep the time away. Well, not this time. The weather was beautiful the whole time and so we did a lot of activities outside. We played cards at the beach and went to my favorite pizza/wings place in Naples. My parents treated us to a great dinner at the Boathouse. If you ever have a chance to get down to Naples, the Boathouse is a wonderful choice for dinner.

At the beginning of November, Greg and Kennidy came down from IN to visit and my mom came up to visit. We all had a great time together.

Volleyball

Well volleyball is over. I am not really sure what the final win-loss record was, but we sure had fun this season. Although, I was ready to have my time back, I was sincerely sad that the season was over. This is the first time that I have ever had seniors on a team that I have coached since they were in 6th grade. Needless to say, I very unexpectedly cried after the final game. Above are some pics of these fun girls.
